Babaji's Assurances and Prayers for Peace

We spoke with Babaji yesterday on October 23, 2001 about terrorism and the war in Afghanistan. This is what he told us.

By Charlie and Carol Hopkins

Babaji's blessings and prayers for Peace go out to the entire world, and he said we can "build a world without violence."

He assured us that the peace loving people of the world in every country will be given a chance to live in peace.

Babaji is praying to Swamiji and to God that even those who would create terror would be given the mind for peace. Baba has said it is good that the leadership is expressing that this is not a campaign against any particular country or religion but rather an effort to eliminate terrorism. Baba continues to assure us that even though this campaign may continue for some time to come that there will not be great loss of innocent lives. He said that the world will not suffer too much, peace will prevail and that God is with the peace loving people everywhere around the world!

Baba told us that it is the duty of a Yogi to bless everyone who asks for a blessing. This is also Baba's nature, to spread love and honor. He learned this not only from Swamiji but also from his own Father and Mother. Baba's Father was a medical doctor. During World War II, he served with the British army in Burma. During his free time he would go to villages treating anyone who needed his help. He did not differentiate between the British or the Japanese, serving all equally. In so doing he earned the respect of soldiers on both sides of the conflict. Later in life he continued his medical practice, but never charged for his services. Babaji was trained from childhood to treat all with respect, especially women and the poor.

He said, "Whenever I meet a person who honors basic human values, to me it is like meeting God."
