Questions:

It seems sometimes that an ordinary person can see certain people are ignoble and not to be trusted, whereas a Saint has to forgive them and give them one chance after another.

Baba:

There is a story of a Saint who was taking his bath in a pond. A scorpion had fallen into that water so the Saint put out his hand to save it. Due to its nature, the scorpion stung that Saint and fell back into the water. Again the Saint picked the scorpion out of the water and again was stung. Finally the scorpion fell into deeper water and was drowned.

The illusions in the world seem so real. People are tempted by name and fame, material things etc. They want prestige and all the things of the world. At a certain point they cannot resist the temptation due to their natures and weakness. When one is willing to listen to the guidance of the Guru with devotion and faith, then real progress is possible. Patience is the Guru's gift.
